MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
As a Community we have decided to take stronger action with the long term non payers of the Community, as such an impromptu meeting was held with the owners available on that day, as a result of the meeting and my previous dealings with the Administrator I have put into action the following:-
A lot has happened since my last visit when we gave a list of non payers, and asked for action.
The list has been sent to solicitors and a visit to the register office in Guardamar is imminent to find out the actual owners of the apartments, not just the names we have but the owners, an official notice is being posted at the Town Hall giving the offenders 15 days to pay or it is referred to the judiciary, also a registered letter will go out with the same request, they assured us that usally has the desired effect, following no responce, the amount is taken from their bank account and or the account is frozen, next step seizing the property, and as we know its all in the Horizontal Law, so some progress, but don't hold your breath!
I have told him we want two test cases to be made an example of, one owner from the apartments and one owner from the garages.
I also asked for a copy of the insurance policy.
The AGM date is set for 20th June 2008 at 10.00pm, to be held locally, I asked for a copy of the expenditure budget etc. before the meeting and I will chase them up.
Lastly I told them that the Community was generally unhappy with the action of the Administrator so far and if there is no satisfaction with results the contract will cease.

Just returned from a sunny very hot Spain. Had a great time, left Chris with his list of jobs, all the community very happy, even the "do gooders".

We are very pleased to hear that the AGM went well and that everything has been resolved amicably. We really value the good relationships and friends we have made and are more than happy that Charlie has agreed to continue as the President. Thanks to everyone who attended and gave him support, we know you ALL had the best interests of the community at heart. We will do anything we can to help our community spirit continue. Glad to see that the meeting went well,and that charlie has remained on board. perhaps less money could be spent on plants and money better spent on non-slip tiles around the pool and maybe having the pool heated in the winter, what do others think??

not sure what happend at the meeting but agree with the last comment could do with seing about the none slip tiles for the pool and heat for cold months would be cool, pitty we could not get in feb or may when out last time.

Can I please make a suggestion that we all use our names rather than be annonymous. We are supposed to be one big happy family yeah ?
Pete we also cannot access the minutes of the meeting, please can you just post the main issues where we can all see them, ie who the commitee members are etc etc.
As for a communal Bar B Q area, this is a big issue, who would want it outside their apartment ???
Am in favour of having a non slip flooring around pool. Not sure about heating though. Does it mean having to have a cover, someone to take it on & off daily?
I can answer the heated pool question, after putting a heater pump in place, cost about 4000euros, we would have to cover the pool, each time a person used the pool it must be recovered. because of heat loss. running cost 40 euros a week when in use, my own opinion not worth the time or trouble.
Pete is right about the heated pool idea. Charlie looked into this previously and came up with these problems. He is also looking into the possibility of non-slip tiles or similar and has had a number of quotes which are being considered. If you contact him he will be able to explain all the details if you are interested.
We also have been unable to access the AGM minutes - can anything be done. Then everyone can see what issues were brought up and what has been decided.
We also agree that anyone posting should not be anonymous - it only creates bad feelings.
I did e-mail the minutes and balance sheet to everyones personal e-mail address on July 2nd, if you did not get that e-mail please let me have your e-mail address again so to update my records. the way I gain the minutes from the web site is when the site appears click to sign on, then click to 2008 under heading Blog Archive, Peter/Helen please will you let me know if either works out for you
I hope we have'nt created a monster with this message board, the idea of the message board was for owners to keep in touch, keep owners informed of recent developments, share information and make essential decisions perhaps, and just to have a bit of fun with. I have been critised for possible censorship, and now anonymous messages, my own view at least poeple are expressing their view and may not want to be misunderstood, and therefore want to hide behide anonymous so not to get branded.
I on the other hand believe people should have their own point of view and be allowed to express it (and not be branded)for the good of the community and nothing personel.
So do we censor if anonymous, or don't like what is written, again my own view is providing it's not libelous or contains bad language, publish it. whats your view?
Please remember that this web site can be read by anyone who taps into it.

Just a note to say be careful if using Goldcar rental - they have well overcharged us for our hire car and have charged an extra 14e on top of a full tank for fuel. have emailed them 3 times to try to sort but nothing doing. If you use this company check your charges before you leave, we didn't - our fault I suppose but we have never had this problem before.

Help, we are on the debtors list!
My daughter Mandy and her family are coming over 14th August and will pay the full years community charge.
As you know we always pay our comm charge yearly but as probs with Administrator we were advised to leave until we came over again.
We are coming over ourselves on 11th Sept until 15th Sept with two friends - Graham is 60 on 12th!!
